For over thirty years Kurt Mulson has seen many
tense and depressing situations and experienced the wide variations
in people and cultures as well as the pain and hurt we seem capable
of inflicting upon one another. It's so easy to dwell on the
worst of life, and cops run into more than their share. Thank
goodness there is humor because no matter how well trained or
prepared we are, or how hard we try, situations develop that just
are not in the play book. Cops are really human: we make
mistakes, get scared, cry ,complain, curse, hate and love, but we
have an incredible ability to laugh at our selves. Laughter is
a great stress reliever and some events are so funny or humbling
that you cannot resist laughing. I hope you can grin, chuckle
or laugh out loud with me and my fellow officers as we did our jobs
as cops and human beings.
